A mindful make: Seed and Furrow fingerless mitts

It’s that time of year when the cool temperature finds us inside and looking for a quick, warm comfort project. Before you sort out your to-do list for the coming winter, have a seat, pick out your favourite worsted weight yarn, favourite knitting needles and enjoy this mindful knittng project. If you are like me and enjoy the calm comfort of the process of knitting, this project is a relaxing make.
The repetitive nature of the ribbing and broken rib stitch patterns lets you relax and find that comfortable rhythm and mind space so you can just enjoy the moment and the process of working with a beautiful fibre and your favourite needles. Each purl between the furrows representing a moment and then another as you allow yourself time to focus and be present as you work.
The written pattern follows. If you’d like to download a printable PDF version please follow the link at the bottom of the page.
