What is Stitch Revival Studio?

What is Stitch Revival Studio? What do I do? And how I can help you?

Well, I’m a one-woman, home-based knitting business based in Huron County, Ontario. I enjoy specializing in custom knitted commissions inspired by vintage needlework and natural fibres. It’s nice to meet you! 🙂 Below you’ll find info on what I do and how I can help you. Thanks for checking out my blog.

Please note: the blog is under a bit of an overhaul, so content and layout may shift a bit as I work through updating things.

Custom commissions – knitted & natural baby bonnets

I specialize in custom commissioned, natural fibre knitted baby bonnets, just the way you like it, for that special new little one. Just send me a message at sbolen@stitchrevivalstudio.ca. I love making baby bonnets and if you have a preferred style or fibre let me know. I enjoy knitting baby items as they are smaller and so give me more opportunity for playing with design and natural fibre yarns within a shorter time frame.

Custom commissions – knitted wool mitts & gloves

Looking for a set of custom handknit mitts or gloves made with 100% Ontario wool? I’m your girl for this one. I’m a maker member of Ontario Fibreshed and enjoy working with locally sourced wool. If you are looking for a unique, locally inspired warm gift for those you care about, let me know and I’m happy to help. Whether it’s a pattern you saw in a store, magazine or show that you’d like done up or you leave the design choice to me, it’s all good.

Pattern Research

Do you have a family needlework heirloom you’d love to know more about? I’d love to help out. I’ve done some research for my own historic pattern recreations and needlework magazine articles previously, so lending a hand to a fellow needlework enthusiast would be no problem at all. Just reach out and let’s chat.

Pattern Design

Are you a knitter or crocheter and who would like help producing your own stitching patterns? I can help with that. My background is in newspaper production and design with some proofreading thrown in the mix, so I’ve got lots of experience that helps with this sort of work. Cost? It’s all very reasonable starting at $35 for one 2-page (back & front) pattern design. I send along a printer-ready PDF (portable document format) file and all you have to do is email it on to the printshop. Do you prefer to have my help with that part? I can do that for a small additional fee. Send me a email and we can go from there.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!!
